SACRAMENTO -- The Cougars surrendered just 16 second-half points while improving to 5-1 in non-league action.
Walter Jackson led Weston Ranch with 21 points, Brandon Silva added nine, and James Nunnally and Michael Thomas finished with eight each.
"We did two things really well tonight," Cougars coach Bill Slikker said. "Our passing was outstanding. We had 21 assists. And our defense, allowing just 16 points in the second half. I was really happy with the way our defense played."
Weston Ranch will host Delhi Friday at 7 p.m.
